The Concept

DiaGenic's tests are based on the observation that the primary diseased part of the body is not the only part responding to a disease. The disease also causes unique responses in other parts of the body, including the circulatory system. This response can be detected by measuring the amount of RNA for selected genes in peripheral blood.

DiaGenic's concept can be further developed for use in the diagnosis of many serious diseases. Based on commercial potential and medical needs DiaGenic's main focus has been on the development of products for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, breast cancer, MCI and also on Parkinson's disease.

  • The primarily affected part of the body is not the only part responding to a disease
  • The disease also causes unique responses in other parts of the body
  • These disease responses can be identified using gene expression technology
